Rinnerhütte (1470 m)

Most popular cottage in the death ranges. This accomodation which is attended by the "Ebenseer Bergsteigerbund" pampers the hungry and thirsty friend of the mountains not only with food and beverages but is also the perfect starting place for hiking tours of different requirements. Who hasn´t got much time, can go to the "Wildensee" or climbs up the "Rinnerkogel" which is anyway also a 2000 meter high mountain. For those with more endurance, the "Plateau-Tour" will be the perfect choice or the "Nord-Süd Überquerung" over the "Appel-Haus" with the target "Grundlsee" would be another possibility.

To reach the cottage, you best start at lake "Offensee", from there you hike nearly 3 hours before you reach it. 20 places to sleep. Open daily from 29th May till 14th September 2025. From 19th September till 12th October only opened on weekends (Friday till Sunday) IN FINE WEATHER (rain- & snow-free).  Reservations are necessary to be made by phone.
